Teens and younger children are welcome to help with tasks that are age appropriate. This is a great opportunity for Chessed Hours!

We have volunteer opportunities in many areas of our shul. Check as many boxes as you'd like!
Please note that the description near each position is a broad description and is not the responsibility of just one person.

Organize meal trains, visitation, and necessities for members with a new baby, sickness, hospitalization, or sitting shiva, etc.

Prepping the shul for an upcoming Chag includes many tasks such as:
 - Bringing machzorim, megillot, etc to shul from garage.
 - Setting up chairs/tables as needed.
 - Decorating (flowers for shavuot, decorations for other holidays, changing parochet & bima for RH, etc.)
 - Cooking (Simchat Torah, Shavuot, etc.)

For those good with DIY Projects. Mostly easy and minor fix-its and light maintenance around the house.
Help us welcome our new members. Help identify host families for meals on Shabbat for visitors and locals.
Join the Kiddush Crew to help with set-up, prep, clean-up and shopping. Also occasional chulent making and light cooking (such as kugels, pasta, brownies, baking frozen bourekas, etc)
Involves periodic weeding and planning larger landscaping projects.
Help during Lulav and Etrog pickup. Includes set-up and clean-up, as well as ensuring that everyone receives what they ordered.
Plan social and educational events for all ages and stages of our congregation.
Assist security guard in identifying congregants. Other responsibilities as per YID's Security Committee.
